Volunteer

Volunteers are the most important part of A Community Christmas. Opportunities for volunteers are numerous. Volunteers are needed for all programs and in the Community Christmas office.

If you wish to volunteer, please call the office at (330) 454-3841 or click here.

Volunteers obtain information from the clients and fill out a case sheet. Training sessions are provided for and required of all volunteers. Periods of two weeks in October and November require at least 10 to 12 volunteers daily in four hour shifts. A case cannot be evaluated properly if the necessary information is not provided on the case sheet.

Monetary Donations

All monetary donations are used to purchase food and clothing vouchers, purchase toys, gifts for nursing home residents and needy children and fun various community service programs.

This year we are seeing an increase in the number of 11 to 19 year olds needing assistance. This is due to the fact that many other Christmas providers do not supply gifts for this age group. It is the policy of A Community Christmas to help all those who apply for assistance from us, regardless of their age. Children 11 to 19 years of age must attend school/high school. We require proof of school attendance. Also, all applicants must show proof of residency in Stark County. Please consider making a donation to help us supply these gifts. Memorial contributions are also accepted; special envelopes are available for this. For more information please call our office at (330)-454-3841.

Thank you for your donations!
